What is the Super Funk dance?
The Super Funk dance is a 15-second solo routine that took off on TikTok in August 2026, set to a high-energy funk track also called "Super Funk". Within weeks the trend was everywhere: people did it in cosplay, in Halloween costumes, as their Roblox avatars and in plain everyday clothes, often captioned simply "I joined the trend".
Part of the appeal is that it is one short, recognisable routine. Everyone does the same moves to the same beat, so the fun is in who is doing it: a friend, a parent, a cartoon character or a costume you would never expect.
How the Super Funk dance generator works
Learning the routine from a tutorial takes practice, and filming yourself takes even more confidence. The generator skips both. It moves the person in your photo through the full routine, beat for beat. Their face, hair and outfit come from your photo; the moves come from the original Super Funk dance.
There are no steps to learn, no camera to set up and nothing to edit. The result is a finished vertical clip, the same length as the trend, so it sits naturally next to everyone else's version in a feed.
Super Funk AI dance ideas
- The friend who would never film it. Pick the quietest person in the group chat and let them join the trend anyway.
- Your cosplay or Halloween costume. Bold outfits are what made this trend spread, and the AI keeps every detail of the costume.
- A favourite character. Anime and cartoon characters work, as long as the whole figure is in the picture.
- Your cat. This routine copies human moves, so cat photos often can't be animated here. Try our AI cat dance page instead.
What photo works best
The AI can only move what it can see, so the photo decides most of the result.
- One person (or character), whole body in frame, from head to feet. The routine uses arms, hips and legs, so cropped limbs look odd.
- Facing the camera, standing with a little space around the body rather than pressed against a wall or a crowd.
- Even light and a sharp image. Daylight or a bright room gives cleaner motion than a dim, blurry phone shot.
- Keep the outfit you want to see. The clothes in your photo are the clothes in the video, so this is the moment for the costume.
Avoid group photos, heavy filters and shots where the head or feet are cut off. Only use photos of yourself or of people who are happy to be in the video.
